stay your pretty eyes on course
Smiling despite his best efforts as he feels Sunjata turn into the gentle touch to his scruffy cheek, Niki carefully takes his hand back as the other man begins to properly stir. He frowns as words he only partially recognises hit the air, thinking at first that the Heartless is simply mumbling in his sleep, but no - it had definitely been another language he'd heard. "It cannot have been longer than an hour or so," he says quietly, resting a guiding hand on Sunjata's shoulder as he gets himself into a sitting position.
"It got much darker than I expected it to." Such is life when you are only partially watching the fire (and letting your mind wander into dangerous territory). "How did you sleep?" Niki already thinks he knows the answer based on how the other man had turned into a warm, dead weight in his lap, but politeness has him asking regardless.
"There is a stand that sells hot cocoa out in the square, I think. We can go once you are a little more awake?" Despite how much he'd quite like Sunjata to stay (and for them to do all those things they'd been up to before, yes), they both had agreed to venture out together.

Niki
I guess I never really faced my fears before
