The earth shifts around them like they're wading through water, trying to escape her scrutiny.
The first shrub she tries to move proves to be more stubborn than the trees. She tugs against the plant, urging the earth to shove it out of the path, but it stays firmly in place despite her forceful persuasion.
Nova grinds her teeth and spreads her magic farther than before, moving more earth than she ever has, trying to encompass the roots she can't see.
