I will never be too afraid to bleed, giving all of me
Zavien spots it before he does, and Kaisel whirls as he seems to cry out with a newer sense of accomplishment, the herb triumphantly in his grip. His gaze lights up, a bit of a giddy laugh bubbling up as he takes the half-handful and stuffs it into his backpack. Fed by adrenaline and the ever pressing sense of being ejected by this labyrinth, or digested, at least making it to the center and claiming the prize is enough to give him a runner's high. "We did it!" A celebratory palm slaps at Zavien's shoulder, a wet and muddy clap.
The hedges are definitely twisting and crawling though, and the space they had come through has shrunk. "Well, it's been fun," he salutes to the maze. "But we really gotta go now!" He points towards a new opening and directs Zavien there as he races for it too, praying the plants aren't sentient enough to trick them into a deadly trap of false hope. "Last one out buys the other a beer!"

Kaisel
I'll be more than just a fable, I'll be written in the stars
Wearing a watery blue, faded and stretched-out sparkling hair tie on his left wrist
