It's not something he keeps up for long, having been tripped by her once before for pulling it, but he likes the little dizzying effect of it and the obnoxious energy of affection that won't be content with sitting straight and merely strolling.

"Don't worry Ro! he says roughly, glaring with set teeth at the foul fowl. "I'll protect you!" His grin cracks past the emulated heroism, the theater of it escaping before he returns to his role in full force. His non-shooing arm loops around the small of her back and her forcefully steps backwards, the pace hurried enough that as he drags her with him, it'll be a stumbling affair that eventually ends in his legs catching on the sand and tumbling back into it, pulling her across him like the most gorgeous surf a man could ask to drown in.
