He said "I bet you don't remember me"
Remi laughs richly at Kaisel’s scolding, the sound low and warm and entirely dad-like in a way that likely does nothing to help his case. He lifts one hand as the gummy worms come flying at him, making a show of flinching away from the assault despite the fact that several of them strike his chest and bounce harmlessly into his lap. Plucking one from the front of his chambray shirt with the careful precision of a man selecting a particularly fine pastry, he takes a small, delicate bite from its end and raises his brows. "Can’t I?" he wonders, grinning across at Kaisel with all the unrepentant innocence he can muster.
Still chewing, Remi shifts enough to sit more comfortably on the foyer floor, one arm resting loosely across his knee as Kaisel begins to list out what they know. The amusement does not leave his face, but it settles into something more thoughtful, his gaze following each raised finger while the pieces arrange themselves in an order that is unfortunately less ridiculous than the dream itself had been. By the time Kaisel reaches the third finger, Remi’s eyes lift expectantly, as though the next step in any proper accounting is obvious, and he hums under his breath when the conclusion lands where he suspects it must.
"It certainly does sound like something to do with Ludo," he says, his voice quieter now, the gummy worm held forgotten between his fingers. "Though Ronin was telling me that Melita thinks Ludo has disappeared."idk what the timelines are anymore His mouth tightens slightly, not with alarm so much as the old instinct to start setting facts into rows before they have the chance to become danger. "Which means it might not be Ludo, or is evidence that Ludo really has gone somewhere." Only then does he seem to remember the candy, glancing down at it before finishing the bite with a small shrug.
At the mention of the moustache, however, the seriousness cracks. Remi lifts his free hand to his upper lip, rubbing thoughtfully where the grand curl of dream-hair had been, and gives Kaisel a considering look. "Mm. I will be sure to tell Ronin you said so."
