For all her familiarity with loneliness, Colt has rarely ever done anything alone. Be it dogs, horses, or hands, she has always had help to call upon, and perhaps that's best displayed by her ability to channel for the gods when she needs. Maybe she doesn't always know how to ask, or like doing so, well accustomed to people and animals that already know their job beside her, but some part of Colt is aware that she'll never survive out here if she tries to do everything herself. Deimos had reminded her recently of it too. All she needs is proof someone is willing and competent, and a working friendship is easy enough to form.
"Great," she smiles when the engineer accepts the offer. "Thank you, Noe." A small pause, before Colt glances over at her. "If you've never met him before, let me just warn you that he's not the friendliest sort. I think he'll take to a conversation like this well, but try not to let his barbs hook on you. He means well, generally." Not always easy to understand his meaning, but she believes that more than ever about him.
The final spot they come to though where the growth looks like it's still establishing herself seems to appease them both. "Why don't we mark this on the map, and then send a bigger party out here to survey for a few days and nights. They can report back on the animal activity, and maybe search for water. I'm guessing it's deep." Colt reaches out to tie a green ribbon around one of the little stems. "I am hopefuly though," she smiles, standing up to wave Noe into a follow and cut a much quicker path back home to tent town now that they aren't stopping so often to watch and linger. "Seems like it could be our new home." With some luck, a lot of work, and a god's touch.
