Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

"I was seen by a very skilled healer, I will have you know." Remi chuckled. He might have said something about how it had been a while since he enjoyed having a woman remove his pants, but decided against it. Remi might have been comfortable with his close friends knowing certain details of his personal life - and there had even been that one stranger he'd told - and now that he thought about it, there really wasn't any good reason why he couldn't reveal that to Isla. But as his mind worked, the moment slipped away and the alchemist merely smiled amusedly at her.
"This way." Remi said with a flourish, then realizing it was probably better if he did lead the way given the clutter that they were about to encounter, he spun on his good leg and limped his way into the back room. Pushing open the door into a room significantly warmer (since it held the wood-stove), Remi cleared away a space on the wrap-around wooden bench.
"I think, you will enjoy this." Not one to boast of his accomplishments, as it was he was quite proud of this. Pulling out a mortar and pestle, Remi looked at Isla. It appeared as though the bowl was empty, but as the alchemist ground the pestle a silvery sort of gel appeared. "Now-" Remi said holding up a finger to indicate he wasn't done, he reached out his hand to hopefully take Isla's in his. Running the end of the pestle up her arm and depositing some of the silvery fluid, he reached for a small sewing needle. Holding her hand gently, Remi's eyes flickered up to Isla's for a moment, offering a soft smile. "I will not hurt you." He said reassuringly. It might not have been necessary, but given the last time he'd visited her it had been because he had literally been shot to be subdued, he thought it worth saying.
Dragging the needle gently across the un-numbed portion of her arm to where he had placed the gel, Remi's eyes quickly and excitedly rushed back to her face. "Do you feel anything?" He asked, pressing the needle down, not hard enough to break the skin, but hard enough that if the gel wasn't working, she should definitely be uncomfortable.
