Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

"A religious shrine?" Remi repeated, shaking his head slightly. He'd never even heard the concept before. Oh sure, Delphine had once told him a pretty tale of how she thought the universe had been created by the trees or some such nonsense, but religion was not a concept he was familiar with at all.
And then they appeared.
Clothing–or the lack thereof–was hardly Remi's concern. He had seen Celosia naked before as well as a myriad of other female bodies. Beautiful creatures though they were, their feminine shapes rarely held his attention for any longer than was strictly required. So despite the lack of clothes, the alchemist's attention was firmly drawn towards Frey; despite the being's shifting physical manifestation Remi found himself inexplicably drawn to them. His eyes wandered over the constantly evolving landscape of their body, noting just how strange it was to be so immediately enamoured by their flesh. As it was, it usually took more than just base physical attraction to arouse the alchemist, but clearly in this instance his body was not worried at all that he knew little of the being's mind. Indeed Remi's lips parted slightly as if imagining the constantly shifting parts against the folds of his lips and tongue, and without meaning to, a soft moan escaped him.
Before he could break the bonds of this strange affliction and ask more probing questions, the man found himself on his knees, arms tied snugly behind his back with something in his mouth. Societally submissive though he might have been, physically so was another matter all together. Immediately Remi flexed his muscles against the bonds testing their limits, only to find that tension on one area of his constraints caused another to tighten uncomfortably. Immediately his muscles began to quake as his instincts told him to fight and thrash against the ties while his mind advised tact and patience. Fighting was not going to get him out of this, but that didn't mind his body wasn't crying out for the chance to try.
The again, parts of it were clearly crying out for something else as well.
Steeling himself, Remi focused on his shift and allowed his body to morph and shrink. Though magic was clearly at play here, hopefully by finding himself in a much smaller body he'd be able to evade the ties that had been formed to his human shape. If it indeed was the case that becoming a hawk had allowed him to escape the ties and the gag, he'd immediately shift back into his human form, a look of confusion bright in his gaze.
"Are you religion?" The alchemist ventured, grasping at the concept Cel had spoken of only moments ago before the entire conversation was turned on its head.
