She definitely wishes she had the power to create booze. Truthfully she really just wishes she knew how to use her magic, how to unlock more powers, how to become something formidable. Not that she couldn’t hold her own, but imagine what she could do with magic at her fingertips and not just the ability to light a candle. It is much of what drives her to act now, to explore the world, to figure out what she never had time to learn before. Opportunity is wide before her with the portals open, and she would be a fool not to take it.
He understands her meaning well enough, finishing the thought she left hanging between them. He keeps his voice low, and it is filled with opportunity. She can taste it in the drink before her, can see it in the wink of his eye, can hear it in his hushed tones. The best opportunities were not the ones you shouted too loudly. He steps out from around the bar, and she slips off the stool easily, grabbing her vodka with one hand and taking his arm with the other. “Shall we?” she says, because so far, he has not shown her anything she disliked.
