As Samuel departed (or so Loren assumed), the healer sighed. Directing his birds to keep an eye out for any sign of trouble nearby, he headed back to the party. Realizing that the women had already left, he hesitated at the edge of the gathering, awkwardly shifting his weight from one foot to the other.
