Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Vai's voice, worried and maternal. Zariah, sharp and no-nonsense. He thought he heard Jigano, but the words were muffled by the buzzing in his ears, in his bones. And Ashe? Was she—
"My—" Remi tried to say as the choir of whispers in his mind frothed like a wave. Squeezing his eyes shut, he waved a hand towards his bag, where his leather-bound notebook and a stick of charcoal suddenly appeared and drifted towards him. Grabbing at them with an uncharacteristic hastiness, Remi dropped to his knees and began to sketch in earnest, like a man trying to pin down a dream before it disappeared. With hasty glances up to the world outside, an image began to appear on the page drawn in Remi's characteristic precise-style. Grabbing at the snow around him, he added some to his finger to smudge and blur the charcoal to indicate where the orbs of light were, adding gigantic trees, and even digging beneath the snow to the dying grass beneath to smudge colour into them. The air was a brilliant blue and the flora was vibrant and full of life in a way that nothing inside the barrier was. And there, nestled in the snow, was a sight that made Remi's heart clench and flutter. Ianto. He'd know that foxy-smile anywhere.
In that moment, Remi had the overwhelming urge to fly as fast as he could to Rory, to place the mask on his friend's face and let him see.
Instead, as if suddenly exhausted, Remi pulled the mask off panting slightly as his heart beat wildly in his chest. Holding up the notebook for those around him, he looked at the barrier without the mask, feeling suddenly as though he wanted to cry at the sight of it.
Okay the PQ portion is over! Thanks everyone <3 !
