He was a little embarrassed now; few people commented on his looks compared to his age, though he supposed it just hadn't come up much. With the smile still on his lips he leaned a little closer to Zeph. "You still haven't told me your age, and I told you mine. It's only fair." He wasn't usually so bold, but something about the man was charming and Sam felt a rush in his chest, the feeling of meeting someone you might want to, if you could be so bold (the thought of it!) flirt with them.
Hearing of the spires Sam could see them in his minds eye, let out a wondrous breath, Zeph holding him on tenterhooks for the next part of his story...that didn't come. After a moment when it became clear this was not a dramatic pause, Sam tilted his head. "...Are you...alright? You were talking about the Spires...?" Was there some kind of memory attached to the structures that he had accidentally made the man recall?
