Saiden grinned at Seren's answer. "I like pancakes too." Leaning forward, he dropped his voice to a whisper. "Do you ever put things in them? Like berries or chocolate?" He spoke as if this was some huge secret he was revealing to her.
However, he paused, giving her a surprised look. "You know, I don't think anyone's ever asked me that before." Frowning in a thoughtful way, he hummed. Then he smiled slowly. "I really like crab cakes." It came out equal parts shy and sly.
Giving her a happy look, he picked up a box. Putting some sushi in it, he added a small container of soy sauce, some ginger, and some wasabi. Tying it off with a nice little piece of string, he put it in front of her. "There. Something for your dads."
