'Hmm,' he hummed through the bond at her queries, forgetting so easily who he has and hasn't spoken to about the so-called 'gods' of his homeworld. 'There were no gods there,' he said softly, thoughtfully. 'Though many would disagree with me,' a touch of rueful reflection entered his tone. 'Man wrote religious texts to help them understand the world thousands of years ago. Within those texts was this Jesus Christ, said to be the son of the God given credit for creating the world.'

It was such a simple explanation, and to a world that knew no better, it was easy to see it as truth - until science shed light on the truth of the matter. 'But man wrote other things in those texts too, and wielded the words like a weapon to enthral followers, with smoke and mirrors, convincing them that their God exists despite no true evidence ever being present.'

He could feel the shiteating grin radiating from her at his antics from before, and he took it on with amusement and a certain air of dignity - it was completely intentional. At least he was embracing the instincts of this form more readily - surely she should be proud that her student was progressing so well.

When she twitched, he jumped slightly again, muscles flinching, but the paw kept stretching towards her. Then she hopped away, and in another flurry of feathers, suddenly had him in an embrace. It all happened so swiftly, he couldn't help but sit down and take it - quiet happily, with purrs vibrating up through his chest and throat.

'I'm more of a science man myself. But science has a severe lack of handy curse outlets.' He stuck a pink tongue out between whiskered lips, before opening his jaw in a wide yawn, all while within her clutches.
