Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

"I wonder what would make us stop?" Remi whispered back, his skin shivering beneath the lightness of Sam's touches, his hips so badly wanting to move, the clothing between them to be stripped away until—
—right. Right. The alcove might have been secluded but it wasn't private, not like what Sam wanted. Stupidly in some hormone-high hope Remi thought he could conjure curtains, could make something sound proof, could do anything so that he could just tear and touch and press himself and—Remi bit the inside of his lip hard, his breathing which had grown ragged suddenly hiccuping in his throat. Maybe it was how they'd started in the cave, or simply something about Sam, but the alchemist could hardly deny how much he wanted him. Emotional crutches and bandaids aside.
"You are right." Remi whispered, swallowing down the rising moan of desperateness and want. The tangles of Sam's fingers in his hair and against his skin was decidedly not helping, and as Remi closed his eyes to try and force himself to still, a low growl rose out of his parted lips. A sound all too clear; a warning, an invitation. If Sam didn't stop, Remi wouldn't be able to either.
"Try, and fail often as I am repeatedly told." He responded with a small chuckle and shake of his head.
