LUCI
"I know - a ridiculous notion, I agree," Lucas said, a hand fluttering to his heart as if to perish the thought that he, Lucas Copperhead, might succumb to temptation of all things. He listened, quietly and intently as the Voice revealed more about her situation and motivations (whether or not she realised she was doing so), and he tilted his head as he considered her words. "On that we agree. I breach this Spire, and together we take the rest of this place. At least, that is the impression I get."
Oh, but then she brought up the silly little church and its lovely little back room, and a very sly smile crawled across Lucas's face indeed. "I was dropped into a world that muted all earthly pleasures for me. You have made me incapable of fucking, or feeling heat or cold, of enjoying wine or good food. And then you ignored me when I approached your statue in the Underground." Lowering his voice a touch, he met her gaze evenly.
"You're damned fucking right I found somewhere to be myself."
