So maybe no more singing. Remi hums musically in his husband's mind. It's a shame that no one else can hear him, but if there's anything important to say he's sure Ronin can serve as his mouthpiece well enough.

Opting to stay shifted, the manticore pushes on through the undergrowth despite the smoke Pim has caused. Much larger and wider, it's easy for Remi to bulldoze through the jungle, though certainly the expedition forward is now far noisier than it was a moment ago. But Ronin's singing and a blast of starlight probably ruined any chance they had of remaining stealthy anyways.

With his tail poised over his body ready to strike, the manticore uses all his senses to try and interpret the area around him. Everything smells different to be sure, but his nose seeks out particular smells, like fear or adrenaline that might be wafting from potential predators or prey. Meanwhile, his eyes scan the jungle floor that he might help the group avoid trapped or dangerous ground.
