She waves it away; it sounds like something he doesn’t need to shoulder right now, if she can read into his tone and body language at all. “Yep. It’s a joke, really, but I’m playing nice for now. Don’t worry about it.” She’s almost positive that he’ll take her word for it and won’t.

Pointing off in the opposite direction, towards where the lightning storm lingers off the edge of the Ground, she continues. “There’s also something out that way, under the lighting storm. Something big in the ground, maybe in a cave? We were tunneling and found it but it was too much of a risk for some people.”
