It wasn't just the monsters that drove her away, it was the impending war, the fortifications and plans for something she wanted no part in. It was the boredom she felt, the lack of excitement and purpose. The grounds had it's perks, like grass and trees, but she could always visit when she missed it. She'd rather adventure, make a new home for herself, find somewhere that her skills would matter and not feel exploited.
