Sam had told Zeph he'd come back to Torchline after Longnight, and he had wanted to as well; nothing felt quite so appealing as the soft sands and waves of the beach after a week of monsters in the Grounds. After a moment of the usual internal battle (oh Gods why do I ever try to approach anyone, she'll just think I'm weird, but if I don't I'll never meet anyone new--), He took some hesitant steps towards her.
