In years of training, molding herself into a precise weapon of warfare, Roana had learned the importance of taking small breaks. Since Ronin's death and the death of the Spire Demon, she had been working tirelessly to prepare to take down the Spire, and with it the barrier. When she wasn't doing that, she was busy mothering her boys - hardly a restful respite from training and planning. This was the first time she had given herself to simply breath and be. At first, she didn't notice the girl in the water, her pale wet hair seeming almost a reflection of the sun on the surface. But when she moved, it became clear to be a young woman out for a swim.
