Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Remi glanced towards Sam with a bashful but welcoming smile as he took his seat.
Listening to Jigano and Ronin both, for the most part Remi found no need to say much. He'd already told Jigano and Ronin both what he'd seen through the barrier, so as the bard prompted for more information, the alchemist remained silent. So when Jigano said, Thanks to Ludo, another has passed along information that outside the barrier currently are trees and animal life similar to what we have here. Remi wondered who it could be. Certainly if the man had meant Remi he would have just said his name?
Remi listened to Jigano's history lesson. He was tangentially interested in what the bard had to say. He assumed that there was a world outside of the barrier—all the information they'd received so far indicated as much—but it was nice to hear it confirmed.
What Jigano said next made Remi glance towards Ronin with a confused sort of stare. Raising his hand tentatively, he tried to catch Jigano's eye. Remi would not insert himself in politics. He was a commoner at home and had learned nothing in his short life that would make him think he could make decisions for the greater populace. Even so, he was confused about the change in conversation as it now sounded more like they were discussing the nuts and bolts of bringing down the barrier, rather than the scouting parties which might be led once it was down.
As Jigano kept finding his gaze, Remi smiled awkwardly and apologetically at the bard. "Apologies Jigano. Northhaven's politics were...quite segregated. I am afraid I have very little to offer."
