"I don't think I've ever seen you without a tan. Even had one during Longnight." Maeve muses, a smile curling on her lips as she meets his eyes before he's giving her his back. She works the sunscreen into his skin, massaging knots from his shoulders and neck, "That's all I ask." Maeve isn't sure he'll even take it. That he'd want to be around her that much. Maeve hopes he does, but maybe it would be too much for him. She lets it drop for now, not wanting to push the topic more than she already has.

He groans and she must be doing something right. So she doesn't dare stop, working whatever tension from his muscles she can find before her lips press against his throat and she makes her little confession. "Lots of different reasons... Missed your company." A kiss just below the sensitive spot at his ear, fingers trailing down his sides. "Your voice... Waking up to you in my bed..." She hasn't told him any of this. How much she wanted him around before. How much she wanted him in general.

Maybe she didn't even realize how much. It was easier not to ignore the feelings that he made well up in her chest. The way he made her heart race. Probably because she thought he didn't want her then, but he wants her now and she isn't going to deny herself saying these things anymore.
