Maeve
"You're just being nice. I looked awful when I got back from the tar pits." And she really did. It took her days to really get clean. Even longer to feel normal. The compliment doesn't go unnoticed and she smiles softly, a flush rising to her own cheeks as she takes his hand. It makes her strangely giddy to hear him say it, setting her heart aflutter as she slips off the rock with his help. "Maybe. My dad had dark hair too, but his eyes were brown. Tan and all of that." Tall, rugged, a mean snarl on his lips most of the time. She doesn't comment on it, putting two and two together. Maeve doesn't know much about his family, but if Locke did most of the caring for his siblings it wasn't hard to piece together that his dad wasn't around much.
She considers his suggestion, pursing her lips in thought as she lets her sea glass gaze settle on him. Maeve could say that, but he's not horrible to her. Hell, she hasn't really seen him be horrible to anyone. "Well, given that you steal literally all the fucking covers, yeah... I'd say you're pretty terrible." She settles for that instead, grinning over at him as she flattens the top of the little hill they made to act as the base of the castle. Maeve moves to trying to construct the towers now, shaping them one at a time, "Now you say something mean about me."
