A part of him wants to say good to Loren’s initial comment, but all he does is simply nod and shrug a shoulder before lifting the almost empty flask to his lips again. Loren rolls onto his side then, to peer back at him and Sunjata’s gaze is nothing short of seriousness, a dark brow raised as if he’s proving that it’s true and he’s been trying to keep things fine, and so far? Things have been fine, great even.

The comment and feigned cheerfulness has him snorting, glancing to the summoner with a raised brow. “At least she doesn’t bite.” He shrugs, peering out into the ocean and the water ahead of him. Haai meanwhile puffs a small flame along the sand, watching it disappear among the wind, as if it’s a threat.
