Maybe, if he were able to think a little more clearly, if he were able to force any thoughts through the heavy veil of want, Nate would be able to see something poetic in this moment. In the fact that he felt more like himself now, as a bottomless night fell around them, than he had in weeks. Though that likely has far less to do with poetics, and far more to do with the man beneath him. And it very quickly becomes clear that while he can see the attuned clearly, the other can't see a thing.

The rain of kisses continues around the attuned's hip, the threat of teeth growing ever closer, without ever actually arriving.
