The growl that slips from the Ascended only enhances it, that possessive “you’re mine and I’m yours and fuck the rest of them” certainly coming through. And Nate can tease and prolong it out for as long as he’d like, but Sunjata can’t. Aching, burning, throbbing with no sense of relief just yet until he gets to the point he can’t take it anymore. And maybe it’s just for the sheer fact that Nate’s otherwise occupied that there’s no reprimand, but Sunjata won’t complain. Especially not as it hardly takes anything and his wave crashes hard with a jolting electricity sparking through him, a sharp moan and slight arch against his bruised chest from where Nate has pinned him.
He doesn’t mind that one either. Whatever marks Nate chose to leave on Sunjata’s body would always be worn with pride.
But the wave hits, and it hits hard, and Sunjata decides in that moment that 1. Fuck it, clean up later. And 2. He doesn’t exactly know if he can move yet or not with his head spinning and exhaustion lingering in and between how much blood Nate had taken while driving him wild. His chest heaves, Nate slides up, and Sunjata finds himself shifting to better attempt to accommodate the Ascended as lips guide the way up his body to his lips and Sunjata has no chance to try and gasp down more breath – only, he doesn’t mind, even if he’s still dizzy and lightheaded but he gives back into the kiss – deep and swift, one hand still tangled in Nate’s hair and the other pressing with a fair amount of pressure against Nate’s side, just below his ribs.
And gods does he wish he could talk to Nate through the Attuned bond, to give him all the things he wants to say through the emotions he feels, just how much he fucking loves him, how sorry he is that he couldn’t do more with the attack, how happy he is to be here with him through all of the shit. How much he’d do it again and again.
