Rocketing toward the mermaid, the shark is suddenly partially-impaled by one of the ice-spikes created by Nerissa. There is no blood issuing from the creature, but there is a crack, which makes it slightly easier to see.
Suddenly, the shark appears unsure. It moves just enough to continue to breathing, eyeing Sunjata. The mind of the shark is quite unintelligent, but the Flood's command is clear enough. And though it goes against its every instinct, the shark does indeed begin to retreat.
