Not for the first time (though perhaps for the last), Edwyn wishes he had charcoal with which to draw Nate. "Oh, I don't know how to use this—" He tries, but Nate is already off. Swallowing hard, the writer steps back and offers a polite smile to the rest of the group, indicating that they should go first.
Or, more accurately, that he should not go first. Nate might have just granted his wish, but that didn't make him any more capable than he'd been with empty hands.
