He suspected any singular creature in the woods that lived for centuries and devoured multiple humans would gain such a moniker, but that was an assumption from the people of his world, and perhaps the people here were different. The lady at his side certainly had far more experience with them and their beliefs than he did, so he let her words lie uncontested.
Jigano wasn't sure what to think of her response to his suggestion of healing, though. If it was beyond healing, but if healing would have been tried before as a matter of course - and clearly failed - how would it be in their interest to try again?
