He nods, understanding glimmering there. “No, it’s not.” It wasn’t easy in the slightest to bear the weight on a single pair of shoulders. He knows, he’s done it, and he couldn’t handle it after a while.
His hand rises, warm and gentle to rest on her shoulder as he offers her a soft smile. “Well, if you need any help or an ear to vent to, I’m at least experienced in sole leading of a region to either commiserate or offer advice.” It might have been over a year now, but he was still a leader regardless. He knows the weight it carries, the stress it brings.
