Not all the water in the rough rude sea,
Edmund startles when the knocking reached his ears. The young teen had been sipping tea and watching the birds outside his window. After playing with the other kids all day, Edmund had grown tired and retreated to his little home for some peace and quiet.
As such, he wasn't expecting company. If this hadn't been the haven, he'd have been wary. Given that that was exactly where he was, Edmund instead jumps up and walks over to door calmly. Opening the door slightly and poising to ask who was present, the boy spots his mom.
"Mummy!" The door bangs open fully as Edmund leaps out to hug Maeve. When he sees the injuries however, his hug goes from tight to barely present. His arms remain around her but it's with great care that he keeps his weight off of her. "Mummy, are you ok? You don't look okay." The Abandoned's eyes can his mum worriedly.
