Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.

"Sounds reasonable," Jack informs the tailor without looking at him, not now that he's taken his place back at Flora's side. The smirk he flashes at the Doubletake suggests that jealous isn't exactly the word he's thinking of, but if it lets her sleep better at night, she can think what she pleases. As can the tailor, as it happens, the captain tucking in his shirt and rolling his shoulders as if to loosen any tension that has built up from standing still for so long.
"Well?" He tilts his head to Flora. "Anythin' you want while we're here? I don't mind bein' the one to slouch in the chair and drink while you're on show. Or we could always go back to your place and I'll take some measurements of you myself." Unless Flora would prefer to be the one holding the tape measure; she'd seemed quite keen on looking at him just now, after all.

"I bet you would." The queen chuckles under her breath, and though she glances around the bit of the store that she can see from where they are in the back, she eventually wrinkles her nose and gives her head a little shake. "No, I still need my mom to pick an actual date for her wedding before we can pick our outfits." Flora says with a sigh, before shooting an apologetic look to the tailor who we should really give a name to. "Once we know, we'll absolutely be back. I want us to match, but not like, match, you know?"
The amused raise of the man's eyebrows very much communicated that he did.
Sliding her arms around Jack's waist, the Doubletake peers up at him, her aqua gaze sparkling wickedly. "You know, I'd have thought you'd know all my measurements by now." She hums softly. "Here I thought you were more observant than that." Behind them the tailor inwardly groans, both nauseated by Flora's particular brand of affection and also wondering what it would feel like to have her draped across him the way she was with Jack.
"I am going to go and put your order in. Payment upon receipt." He says sounding a touch strained before leaving the couple to whatever it was they planned on doing.
Tarquin the tailor might raise his eyebrows knowingly while Jack furrows his own in exasperation, but far be it for him to argue with what Flora wants him to wear when it comes to something like a wedding full of demigods. "Be sure to stock up on more whiskey," he advises, slipping an arm around the Doubletake in turn as she drapes herself against him.
"Well I've been recently learnin' that apparently these things need to be checked and re-checked," Jack says, tilting his head at the tailor because that's what he'd just said, is it not, before smirking down at Flora. "Besides, I've been plenty observant with my eyes, but my hands could probably use a little more practice."
Nodding towards the tailor as he departs, it's with a wicked smile that he draws Flora further up against him once he's gone. "I'm gonna make that man hate me before the end of this," he informs her. He'll probably take great pride in it, too.
