What do you get when two ruthless assassins raise their daughter travelling through the wildest reaches of Caido? Take one look at Theea and you'll get a pretty good idea. Cheerful and tenacious in equal measure, and curious beyond all else, she began her journey on a mission to find those her mother once called family. And find them she did, soon rubbing elbows with demigods, leaders and even ghosts from the past. Her determination is resolute, her thirst for knowledge unmatched. We can't wait to see where her next adventure takes her!

Grumbling affectionately to the Doubletake - because she's right, he supposes, at least if the threat he's worried about is Ronin Taliesin - Jack turns his attention permanently away from the skies at last, just in time to let Flora replace his cigarette between his lips. Drawing on it once again and seeming to briefly short-circuit from the sensation of her fingers simultaneously against his scalp and tickling into the waistband of his pants, he huffs out a cloud of smoke and tightens his grip around her.
"Gods, if they did I was long gone before I noticed," he admits with a quick smile. "Not that it ain't important now, but back then my secrets were the only thing keepin' me afloat." And either Jack would have promptly dispatched anyone who found him out, or he'd never put himself in a position to have it discovered to begin with. "Why, you thinkin' of visitin' a psychic when we get home?"

Flora's smile only grows wider and more mischievous as Jack seems to freeze momentarily. Careful not to put too much pressure on his abdomen even as his grip tightens around her, in the Doubletake's mind she erases the crew milling about in their vicinity before Jack lifts her up onto the railing; his arms around her waist and her legs locked around his are the only thing keeping her from tumbling overboard as her mind brushes away the clothes (and injuries) between them. In reality, she merely smirks a touch wickedly while inhaling the whorl of smoke from Jack's lips before pressing a kiss against his chest that's equal parts lips and teeth.
"I dunno, why not?" She wonders, fluttering her lashes up at him. "Either they don't know what they're talking about and you can fuck with them, or maybe they can give us a heads up if we're going to be stabbed to death again." Despite the nightmares that have Flora waking up gasping Jack's name almost every night, in the light of day it's an easy thing for the Doubletake to breezily joke about their shared brush with death.

"Keep this up, love, and I'll be forced to cool you down," Jack says softly of the way her thoughts have grown hot enough to start steaming through his mind. And for a mage with water magic, he can be as literal as he likes with that threat, though in all honesty Flora should be thanking him for being so mindful of their injuries. Because with the trajectory of the imagined scenario she'd been sending to him, rest assured that the captain would try it out if he could, and they'd both likely end up tumbling overboard and drowning.
Or worse - being rescued by Ronin.
Again.
Inhaling a slow, deep breath and turning his mind towards seers and psychics, he scoffs and shrugs a shoulder. "I s'pose there's no harm, especially now I've got a mental block of my own," he considers; if there are any real fortune tellers out there, they won't be getting anything from Jack without a fight.

"Mmmm..." Narrowing her eyes ever so slightly as she considers—in her mind, they're now in Jack's cabin, the captain comfortably sprawled out on the bed where his injuries won't be affected by the way Flora's hips straddle his head. It wasn't his tongue that had been injured after all—Flora's eyes flash as she grins. "..you do that and I can promise my screams will absolutely bring Ronin over here faster than you can say old man winter." Even though the Doubletake planned to continue to tease Jack regardless of whether or not it was a good idea, the ache in her shoulder forced her to remove her fingers from the lip of his pants. To compensate, her fingernails scratched a touch harder against his scalp as she leaned up to kiss the side of his mouth not currently occupied by his cigarette.
"I bet they'll be able to get through mine easily enough." Flora's wasn't particularly strong yet, and given that the queen's priorities had suddenly shifted from blocking out Jack's son's mind to not dying, she wasn't sure if the strength of it was going to change anytime soon.

"Given that you'd also hate havin' Ronin snoopin' around The Ark, you talk a lot of shit," Jack mumbles, though in fairness to the Doubletake, she's right, and his mouth is perfectly capable of performing any number of acrobatics. With that in mind - and with a shiver shooting unbidden down the length of his spine thanks to her busy fingers in his hair - he does shoot a sideways glance towards his cabin and raise his eyebrows, as if to ask whether she'd like to do a little more than imagine him feasting on her.
Accepting the kiss before taking another long drag on the cigarette, Jack flicks the ash over the side of the ship and lets his fingers drum idly against her hip where his arm has laced around her. "Mm, lucky you've got someone around who can call bullshit if they're charlatans," he says. "Though given that you're the one who wants to see a psychic, I imagine showin' them everythin' is probably to your advantage. If they have powers."

"Truuuuuuuuuue, but.." Eyes widening, Flora makes no attempt at all to hide the way her thoughts begin to twine and twist into maroon vines that latch onto the blue of Jack's eyes as they flick toward his cabin. ".. I think I'd risk quite a lot to be touched by you right now." She admits, cheeks flushing with heat as she bites at the inside of her cheek. The only trouble was, after having come back from the dead and having heard the captain say he loved her for the first time, Flora craved a good deal more than just Jack's tongue, however clever and satisfying it normally proved to be.
"I just want to see what they have to say." Had the pair been having this conversation even a week ago Flora would wanted her fortune to revolve around whether or not Jack was ever going to fall in love with her or not. Given that for the low low price of death that question had been answered, not all the Doubletake really wanted to know was whether or not she needed to stock up even more on her supply of revivify feathers, or if she and the captain could expect smoothish sailing in the months to come. "If they do have powers though, won't that be risky for you?"

"You know what they say about delayed gratification," Jack drawls, sampling the maroon tint of her thoughts as if it's something delectable to sip at. "...It's a load of shit," he adds - delayed gratification, that is. Alas, neither of them are going to be up for anything other than the sorts of things Jack can do with his tongue for at least a couple more days, and so the captain does his best not to linger in Flora's mind and the unfurling buds of her lust.
"Mm, I s'pose it depends on what their powers are and how good they might be. I've got a block that I can throw up against any sort of power similar to mine, so I guess we'd have to see how far similar goes." Shrugging, he doesn't seem all that bothered by it in truth - which gives away just how unlikely he believes it will be that they come across a real psychic.
"Either way, I guess we won't know until you find someone to tell our fortunes." Because yes, he's giving that task to Flora.

A flash of surprise momentarily cools Flora's thoughts at the implication that Jack of all people was one to suggest delaying any sort of pleasure. Before her mind can begin to untangle why that might be the case, his sarcasm clarifies it enough to have Flora rolling her eyes. Needing something to do with her hands and lips lest she find herself dragging Jack by the waistband of his pants back to his cabin, the queen plucks the cigarette from between his lips as she turns around in his arms to gaze out at the sea.
"Alright then, it's a date." Why after all they've been through together calling something a date still felt like a threat Flora didn't really know, but nor did she care. Despite being newly back from the dead, having just turned 22 the very last thing the Doubletake wanted for her relationship with Jack to ever become was boring. "Given how many of them have been set up since the beginning of Leafchange I doubt it'll be too hard to find one." She adds with a shrug, before leaning against the Ark's railing with her good shoulder. And, should Jack happen to remain as he was, the fact that her ass would be pressed up against him, perhaps brushing against the front of his pants thanks to the rhythm of the sea, was entirely his problem to deal with.
