Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Flora lets out a low whistle, her grin sharp with approval as the dagger hits true. "Look at you!" she crows, genuinely impressed, the sound bright against the chill of Halo air. "Shoulder shot with finesse? That's practically showing off." She leans down to scoop another dagger from where it glints faintly in the snow, then recalls the one Elizabeth just launched with a flick of her wrist. It slices back through the air and lands in her waiting palm with a satisfying snick.
Spinning the blade idly between her fingers, Flora lifts a brow toward the other woman, aqua eyes gleaming with mischief. "So, what do you think? Wanna try your luck against two at once?" Her voice is light, teasing. "Or we can call it now, while you're ahead—leave the dummy wondering if you're secretly a dagger-slinging legend in disguise." She flashes a smile, one part playful challenge, one part knowing camaraderie.
She lets out a soft laugh at the praise, fairly certain it isn't that impressive, considering she hasn't hit anywhere lethal and the target wasn't even moving. Either way, Elizabeth feels like she gets the gist enough to start making real progress on the skill. Maybe she'll beg a set of daggers from someone.
Meeting Flora's aqua gaze, she raises her hands with a placating shrug of her shoulders. "You know, I think I might quit while I'm ahead. Maybe once I can get a shot closer to the heart I'll consider adding in more factors." Her smile is all joy and nothing of discontentment, genuinely pleased with the advice she's received. "Plus, I'm fairly certainly you're 'secretly a dagger-slinging legend in disguise.'" The following wink is almost conspiratorial in its teasing - not that she hasn't already gathered that she's in the presence of 'royalty' rather than a vigilante of some kind.

lay your soul onto mine
Flora laughs, delighted by the wink and the entirely accurate accusation. "Dagger-slinging legend in disguise," she repeats with a hand over her heart, feigning a swoon. "Please,, you’re going to ruin my whole mysterious vigilante aesthetic."
With a quick flourish, she stashes the daggers back into their sheaths, the movements casual but precise, like muscle memory etched from years of needing to be dangerous without looking it. She brushes her hands on her coat, snowflakes catching on her curls and melting just as fast. "You did great, seriously. Not just the shoulder shot—your instincts are solid. We’ll work on lethal placement another time."
She tips her head toward the path they’d taken in, already softening under a fresh dusting of snow. "Come on, let’s head back before our fingers freeze off. I’ll even spring for hot chocolate—extra marshmallows, obviously. Queen’s orders."
And with a grin that’s all sunshine and sharpness, Flora turns, the shimmer of her rings catching the light as she gestures for Elizabeth to follow.
