Look, Melita was fully aware by how badly this had gone by vengeful, seditious standards, and she was to the point of maybe letting it go. Maybe.

Gods it was difficult when one had been brought up in nothing but stubborn attributes.

She wanted to deny the notions simply because she hadn’t embarked upon good fortune yet, but instead of refusal or rejection of the counterparts, it was just a vague ribbit.

But not to worry, because from the strings of her incantations came the multitudes that had sullied Koa and ended their mock fight from before – a sudden, inspiring volley of rubber ducks raining down upon them. Massive, small, gargantuan, tiny, a range of sizes, shapes, and colors, descended along stepstones and snow, and hopefully, straight upon Sah as well.

Triumphant? No – but maybe amusing.

yet my blood renders me a King
The frog chimed in but there was nothing from Melita. Sah dropped his stance and surveyed the area for any clues as to what the in the world was going on. She had to be fucking with him, right? Was this her plan? Confuse and stress him out instead of fighting head-on? Or was something else going on behind the scenes and cloaked in her invisibility?

And then there were ducks. They rained down around and upon him in a dizzying array of colors. Reaching out he caught a bright yellow one and met its eyes incredulously. The aquatic menaces showed no sign of stopping and quickly piled up around him. There was nothing that he could do.

The Wild Thunder gave up and just flopped back onto his temporary bed, staring at the sky through his tunnel of ducks. This was a mess, and he hoped that Melita felt better now. However, the reason why she would use such methods for their fight was beyond him. Trying to find logic in the events made his head hurt. However, the ducks were surprisingly comfortable. Maybe he should take a nap?
