Maea
I feel it in the wind, my dear
The sun is gonna reappear
The questions hit like sharp pebbles. Why? Yeah, jeez, Maea, why weren't you enjoying yourself? Imagine being in a state of mind where nothing was fun, how could you even go on living like that?
Her mouth twisted into a stiff smile, but internally she could feel herself withdrawing from the Honeybee and her stinging words.

"Oh, well... of course I do," though she couldn't quite recall what that had been, or when, "I guess that was a silly question. Never mind."
Digging a hand into the pocket, she twisted the seed pond between her fingers. "I think I see a good spot for this... Did you get the answers you were looking for?" Could she leave now? Maea thought she should say it was nice to see the girl again, but with the phrase on the tip of her tongue, actually speaking it felt disingenuous.

It was likely her own fault. She was just talking too much about herself, as always. Next time it would be best if the focus was on someone, something, anything else.
Good days are gonna come along

Melita
yes, yes, I am wild
I am the wind that makes breathing hard
Considering Melita didn’t know any of the ongoing drama llama issues with Maea, she thought it had been a fair question. Once she figured out those nuances, maybe they’d have an answer. But when the Ancient simply shut down, the Honeybee really had no choice but to stare across at the other individual. What the hell was that? Why even ask then?

Not having the time, patience, or any form of a therapist’s background for that one, the demigod simply shook her head and shrugged at her companions. Leaving those statements behind, since it was clear Maea didn’t want to have anything to do with it, she nodded. “Yeah.” Patting the soil back into place, and watering it, she stood back up. “You all set?” She didn’t seem to be, but then again, they didn’t know one another well.
I am the ocean and the battered shore
I will be the passion of thunder, a howl of fury

Maea
I feel it in the wind, my dear
The sun is gonna reappear
Selecting a spot more or less at random, Maea picked her way around rocks and found a spot of soil that seemed flat enough to support a tree. Digging her fingers beneath moss and grass and lifting out a section of it, she plopped one of the seed pods down and hastily covered it again. It was hasty, shoddy, not at all the kind of care and attention she had wanted to put into the act, but with someone watching her Maea only felt stressed and questioned, expecting to be told once again that she was doing something wrong.

"I am now." She really wasn't, but what else was she supposed to say? "I'll be going back on foot... Hope you get good flying weather, wherever you're headed next." Whether that be fair skies or a thunderstorm to Melita was hard to tell, and it didn't strike Maea as being any of her business. Managing a smile as she turned back towards the demigod, she waved hastily and was already turning away before she'd seen if she got a return goodbye or not.

If this was running away, she couldn't find it in herself to care. Unable to stand herself and even less able to withstand others, it didn't seem to matter much where she went or what she did - the knotted ball of anxiety in her chest kept lingering, and she was increasingly at a loss for what to do with it.
