He said "I bet you don't remember me"
"Could be," Remi says, glancing toward the empty bag with a thoughtful narrowing of his eyes. "Or perhaps it is a game." The thought of Kaisel falling asleep somewhere warm and getting an earful for missing dinner draws a low chuckle from him, and the sound eases some of the tension from his shoulders. "I can imagine that did not go over well."

Standing as Kaisel does, Remi brushes a bit of sand from his own shirt before his attention lifts to the younger man’s face. His brows rise with solemn consideration, as though there is a great deal of moustache-related evidence to review, despite the fact that Kaisel’s cheeks remain tragically committed to softness. If Remi were to look very closely, perhaps with the focus one might reserve for delicate alchemy, there are indeed a few hopeful little lines at either side. "Well," he says at last, his expression carefully encouraging, "it is definitely coming in nicely."

The smile that follows is warm, and as Kaisel looks toward the rest of the house, Remi nods. "I am glad both you and Flora are alright," he adds. "If anything else desert-like happens, do not hesitate to call for one of us." With that, he gives Kaisel an easy wave, amusement still lingering at the corner of his mouth as he turns toward the front door and heads back out into the waking world.
