Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

In the ensuing attack of the snowball, Thal was lucky enough to snag a few more presents and she immediately let the greed go to her head. The churning of snow made it difficult to see any of the remaining gifts, so she looked to the people around her. Most were up ahead, sprinting for what may remain of the sleigh. But she was less than interested in the wreckage unless it contained more presents.
However, there was a much closer source. Specifically, she recognized Talyson running close by. He looked intent on catching up to the others. Too bad she really wanted the present in his arms. She clenched her teeth and ran to tackle him, hoping to steal his haul and increase her own. With a laugh (she was surprisingly enjoying herself and the chaos), she yelled, "Only the best captain will be left standing!"
Dirty tactics are frowned upon by some, but here in this free-for-all, anything goes. Astaroth sticks out his cane as he runs, successful in his attempt to trip up a fellow competitor, and it's Zavien who unfortunately goes down as a result of it! Eating snow, the Accepted will not make it to the sleigh in time.
Similarly, Melita's attempt to cause further havoc with her stolen shoes is successful, and perhaps it's a blessing that there aren't many people left around to see, because it's Deimos who gets clocked on the side of the head and will tumble into the snow as a result. (Good job, Heather?)
As for Thalassa and Talyson, the Messenger is perhaps too determined for the Ancient to sabotage him, because he evades her attempts to tackle him. She doesn't go down, thankfully, but he's still in the race!
And a good thing too, because the sleigh is in view now, crimson and adorned with gold and sleigh bells, with a few luxere standing idly to await a new driver. The final competitors haul ass towards it, but ultimately...
It's Melita who reaches it first. She must feel delighted.
Zavien and Deimos are out of the Drop via SABOTAGE!
The final competitors have raced towards the sleigh, and Melita reached it first and has won the Drop! <333 Heather has been awarded +500 MP!
