It was just as well that Hadama was not the 'darting' type in most situations, and he was aware of his limitations. Flora did not need to worry about him haring off on ill-considered heroics in the near future, though who could say what either (or both) of them might be called on to handle if Torchline was directly threatened again?

"Hopefully nothing," he admitted in answer to her question. "Though having one in reserve in case Torchline needs it would ease my mind." He could be selfish, too, especially when it came to their home and their people. Extra protection did not seem like a bad plan in case the Void - or the Family - found a way to escalate.

And then there was the dream of what gestated beneath the alien island to consider.

Her suggestion of authoritative decrees of enforced field trips did bring a crinkle to the corner of his eyes, however. "Mandatory spa days?" he rumbled. "Perhaps it will go over better if we provide complimentary loofahs?"

But her complaint drained the amusement from his eyes and he considered her point seriously before nodding slowly. "We do not have to." He paused in his swimming to turn to her and shrug, floating comfortably in the chilly water. "Making an area that is safe to meet without invisible or Void eavesdroppers is also important. And is useful to Torchline directly." Though it put them back to needing more Lilies than possibly existed in all of Caido at the moment.

Flora
Snorting under her breath at that, the queen raises a brow thoughtfully. "I'm sure some types of coral might make good luffas? If they're soft enough? We could send everyone off with one." She agrees with a crooked grin. "And like, the hot springs are super nice. I've ever thought of suggesting that we should make some here." There were the ones in Halo, Stormbreak, and in the Climb, and even though Torchline was already quite warm, why shouldn't they also have somewhere to relax like that? They could have the waters be starlit from Safrin, maybe with rejuvenating powers rather than just healing.

"Mmmm, I agree. And Safrin said she could do something like that?" Now that the initial adrenaline shock of being in the cold water had worn off, Flora shivered somewhat beneath the surface. Swimming left and right to try and find a warm pocket of water to remain within, she pressed her teeth together to keep her teeth from chattering. The burst of cold had done wonders for clearing up her tear-logged sinuses and helping to remove some of the puffiness from her eyes, but as the moments dragged on she was either going to have to apologize before slipping into Hadama's arms or else swim back to the surface.

He only needed to consider the suggestion of hot springs for a moment before nodding in agreement. "There should be areas near Apopo that would work." Simple hot springs would be easy enough with shovels and effort. One with magical properties might take a god's blessing, but could be worth the extra tasks for a supernatural benefit.

They had to finish their current quest before they could decide their next, however, and seeing Flora beginning to swim again, Hadama did as well. He resumed his slow, steady pace for the shore and filled his co-leader in on what he could remember of Safrin's words. It was something to consider - and as someone who would be affected by a ban on invisibility, he wanted to give her plenty of time to think about the pros and cons.
