Dance with the waves, move with the sea,
Thal wasn't extremely surprised to hear that Melita preferred unbridled mischief over sex. She didn't seem like the woman to find interest in such physical satisfactions unless they involved suffering or humor, not completely unlike herself, although she'd rather have either of the carnal desires, sex or blood. Chaos was just an added bonus sometimes.

Her eyes followed the man as a random blast of water seemed to spawn from nowhere other than Melita' thoughts. It was pretty funny to watch as he sputtered and tipped out of his chair onto a pool on the floor. Her rating immediately went from a six to a three as he looked dumbly around for the source, a pink hue of embarrassment and rage blooming on his cheeks. His mouth kept opening and closing like a suffocating fish. The group around him laughed, making no offers to assist. Snagging a flame from the wall, Thal added to the fun by lighting his drink on fire. The alcohol burst alight, making him yelp in surprise, tossing it to the side where it fizzled out on the wet floor.

More laughter and ruckus continued as she turned away. "Oh. I get it." Finishing off her glass of whiskey, Thal raised a challenging eyebrow as she slip the empty glass across the bar. "Although I wonder how you'd fair against a real opponent?" One who was prepared to defend themself. One who might actually stand a chance.

your dreams are all full of war
you are from another time
Melita wouldn’t be informing the Ancient of any of her preferences, thank you very much, and her attention was caught by watching the man sputtering. She quietly sipped the last of her alcohol, amused behind the glass, and even more so as the embarrassment seemed to hover around the stranger, and then Thal added fuel to the fire, literally and figuratively.

He seemed to be making a hasty retreat now after his drink ignited, saving multitudes of others from his predilections, and so her attention meandered back to Thalassa, a brow quirking. “Pretty well, usually,” she offered in response with a proud smirk; having been in battles during the war, mauled multitudes of monsters and morons alike…only to be felled by fucking lightning (yes, still bitter). Had she not demi-ied right before the tournament, it would’ve been a different story, but she’d be able to return to full accord at some point. “Why? You have any skills?” Besides the flames; she supposed there was some shift in there too.

Dance with the waves, move with the sea,
Her eyes followed as the man scurried away with his tail between his legs, however, her interest was already gone. It wasn't fun when the toy didn't play anymore. Melita, on the other hand, was looking more and more intriguing. Their one meeting thus far hadn't given them much opportunity to get a feel for the other's capabilities and she found herself wondering if she'd stand a chance against Ludo's Demigod.

Placing a roguish grin on her face, Thal flashed her fangs. "Wanna find out?" She'd been itching for something to get her mind off stuff. Maybe this was exactly what she needed. A nice little bout with a worthy opponent would either let her bask in the glory of victory or leave her so beaten that she no longer felt the hurt of a lost friend. Tilting her head to the door, she offered, "I''m sure we can find a spot to work off some of this alcohol."

Given she’d already weeded out the weak and unimpressive, Melita yawned, secure in her chaotic frame. Thal’s flash of fangs and challenge amused her; mostly because she had every intention of beating the audacity away – confident and assured in her capabilities, despite the past…death. “Sure,” she mused, placing her empty glass further along the wooden frame so the bartender could snag it on the way by. “Beach should do.” It wasn’t too late in the day, and if any locals or tourists ended up scurrying around and in the pathway of destruction, that was their problem.

With the acceptance granted, they’d be able to sidle out towards some yet-to-be determined spot, likely a pair of emboldened fools.
