"Indeed," the Mer King agreed, quiet but fervent in his equal wish for peace. Though in truth the Void had been suspiciously quiet for the past few seasons, aside from the last attack on Torchline. There were likely going to be further consequences from the first assault on Starfall... but the longer those could be put off, the better it would be for them all.

He pushed the darker thoughts of duty and the dangerous future away to focus on Zavien and his new companion instead. Emerald eyes warmed and the corners of his eyes crinkled towards a hint of a smile at the way the Dragoon's demeanor softened and grew brighter as he interacted with Sol. Their affection for each other was clear, but the sober warning that followed drew a weary nod of the Tidebreaker's head. "Yes... It may be a price I cannot afford right now." As King of a region where Starfall currently squatted, and as a demigod of Safrin. If a companion could be used as leverage against either of those duties...

He drew in a slow breath and then exhaled slowly with single regretful shake of his head. "You mentioned a willingness to show me Stormbreak," he stated, changing the subject away from darker subjects. "Where would you suggest for a meal?"

Zavien
I think all things,
in their way,
Sure, things hadn't been that crazy recently, but that didn't change the fact that things still felt crazy. Between quests and group attempts to combat the Void, Zavien didn't have more than a moment to breathe at times. Luckily, things had slowed down enough for a few trips to the springs with Lena and Koa separately, which may have started another string of thoughts and insecurities, but only time would tell how that all went.

Nodding in agreement with Hadama's concerns about companions, Zavien said, "I can understand that, but I also think the risk can be worth it for the love and affection they provide. Life is just better with a friend." Looking to Sol again, he rubbed a hand along the dragon's chin, scratching gently. It earned him a rumbling that bordered on a purr as a small puff of smoke drifted from his nostril. Zavien chuckled but kept his hand on the smooth scales.

The question brought an amused laugh as he clapped Hadama on the shoulder. "Oooh. I know just the place. Erica will love you." Especially considering the man's larger size meant he probably ate a lot, and Erica loved people who could eat more than a single serving of her ginormous bowls of noodles. He knew he'd get a tongue lashing for waiting so long between visits, but hopefully bringing a friend would soften the blows. With an excited grin, he waved for the Mer King to follow, chatting excitedly while making his way towards Pacifist Plaza.
