Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Uhmmm, well last I heard all the mageglass had been mined up until a certain point, and the last few groups who tries to get in further couldn't, so....y'know. I thought maybe the Eirachi could just..make a new way forward.
In the moment I might have forgotten that was your region, sorrrrrrrrry. Hope you're not mad.
Such a decision would not be up to Torchline’s Queen, especially with no discussion with us beforehand. I trust neither you nor Hadama would appreciate it if we wanted to alter Torchline in any way.
And given the Eirachi’s past propensity for freezing Halo further after such deals, this would hold the potential for grave and lasting impact, affecting the entire region.
(The handwriting changes; with a dainty 'E'. in the margins beside the first sentence)
Is there a reason for the pathway that would achieve something the airships do not? Frey’s input on environmental impact is one I would consider more trustworthy, but seeking it seems unnecessary without more information. If your interest is not the mageglass, what made you ask? Perhaps we can start there for discussion as the suddenness is otherwise startling to say the least. Though the apology is appreciated, we’ve worked collaboratively before and I’d like to hear your concerns or ideas that sparked this.
karma's a relaxing thought, aren't you envious that for you it's not?
Demie? Evmos? Hey you two,
Okay, okay. When you put it like that I can see why your feathers might be a little ruffled, and I really am sorry. Everything happened so fast--the Mathair asked if there was anything we wanted, and I thought about the mageglass that no one can seem to get to, and...well, I assume Noah or Sah told you the rest.
I hope that answers your question Queen E--it really is just about the mageglass and that one tunnel that's been blocked for years. I didn't know there might be ramifications about asking the Eirachi to remove the blockade ("well Flora, if you had asked first you would have known!").
I promise that if there are any repercussions at all, you'll have Torchline's full support and I'll call in every demigod and favour I have to make sure Halo doesn't suffer for my too-quick thinking.
I'll even lead the first group in just to make sure things are safe?
