Zavien

Having just had a particularly eventful meeting with Koa's sister, Noe, Zavien finally made his way to the shrine, steps light with the energy of budding companionship. Sol weaved through the trees next to him, membranous wings tilting between trunks like falling leaves. The season may be coming to an end, but the golden colors were no less vibrant, bringing a smile to his face as he watched his dragon.

Zavien entered the shrine, already spotting the same branch where he'd placed his previous offering. For the poetry of it, he lifted the hanging piece of stained-glass art to the tree. As he released it, the golden melding glinted in the sunlight, further illuminating the image of bright yellow stars on the purple-black background. The image spun, dancing across the ground like starlight despite the mid-afternoon sun.

Satisfied with his choice, Zavien smiled as he unsheathed his sword and laid it across the shrine. Kneeling, he said warmly, "Safrin, I have finished the tasks you set before me. I pray I have done your brilliance justice." Sol sensed the shift, gliding down to take his place next to the Dragoon, eyes scanning for the goddess with anticipation.

Safrin
The warm Leafchange sunlight seemed to pause, casting long, golden rays that caught and refracted through the stained-glass piece Zavien had just hung. The light danced across the shrine, scattering flecks of yellow and violet that seemed to ripple and pulse like a heartbeat. The air grew still, and the faint scent of lavender and moonflower drifted through the glade, rich and heady. "Zavien," Safrin’s voice was both silk and starlight, wrapping warmly around him as she appeared in a shimmer of constellations and twilight. Her gown rippled like water, deep purples and silvers cascading over her form, each step as graceful and deliberate as the orbit of a star. Her galactic eyes alighted on him, soft with fondness and the barest hint of playful amusement.

She moved to the stained-glass offering, her fingers brushing delicately over its surface. The golden melding caught her touch, glowing faintly as though responding to her presence. “This is beautiful,” she said, her lips curving into a pleased smile.

Turning her attention to the sword laid across the shrine, Safrin’s expression grew thoughtful. She stepped closer, the light of the stained glass catching in her hair as she knelt gracefully beside the blade. Her fingers hovered above the steel, not quite touching, as if sensing its essence. "You’ve done as I asked, she murmured, her voice quieter now, almost intimate. Her gaze lifted to meet his, a glimmer of approval shining in the endless depths of her eyes. [say"“And now..." she began, her lips curving into a sly smile; with a fluid motion, Safrin reached out and took the sword in her hands. As she rose, the blade began to glow, faint at first but steadily brightening until it blazed like a captured star. The light danced along its edge, radiant and mesmerizing. She turned it slightly, the glow casting shifting constellations on the ground around her.

Zavien

It never ceased to amaze him how his heartbeat spiked at the appearance of deities. Safrin's form solidified before his eyes from pure stars and moonlight, her presence touching every sense like a velvet blanket of night. He dipped his head with a reverent smile, "Safrin." His eyes followed her, transfixed as she made her way to his offering. Each movement was so eerily graceful that he held no question of her divinity, and when her fingers brushed against the glass, Zavien held his breath, awaiting her verdict.

Her approval allowed a fuller smile to spread across his face. "I'm glad you enjoy it. I thought the stars fitting." Sol seemed to agree, taking his own joy through the bond as permission to jump forward, chasing the image of stars across the ground. His chirps were quiet and self-indulgent, an interesting soundtrack to their conversation.

Zavien could barely contain his awe as she transformed his sword from a simple piece of metal to starlight in the shape of a celestial weapon. He had to force his mouth closed as he looked to Safrin, meeting her glittering eyes with polite amazement. "Your power astounds me almost as much as your beauty."

A flower cannot blossom without sunshine,
and man cannot live without love.

Safrin
Safrin’s smile deepened at his words, the approval in her gaze softening into something warmer, more intimate. She stepped closer, her hand resting lightly on his shoulder, her touch like the softest press of moonlight. Her fingers lingered for a moment before she withdrew, her starlit form beginning to shimmer and fade. “Use it well, Zavien,” she said, her voice echoing gently as she began to disappear, leaving behind only the lingering warmth of her presence and the soft hum of power from the sword. “And remember, the stars always guide those who look for them.”

And then she was gone, the shrine returning to its quiet splendor under the golden light of Leafchange.
