Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Although not the most optimal place, it was apparently satisfactory enough for their purpose. Smiling to Rhi, Elizabeth gave her a thumbs up. They'd done their job well and it was time to move on to the next. She hadn't seen the hybrid's magic at work, but she knew her own abilities. "I'll help with moving if you want to support the container." Once they were confirmed, she made her way to Sah's side, staring down the mass of Void that was more than a little intimidating.
She didn't hesitate to begin, spreading her legs to widen her base. With just as much - if not more - concentration, Elizabeth pushed her magic against the titan. It was a massive structure that barely budged no matter how much she struggled against it. Luckily, she wasn't alone. With the combination of all their magics, it should be scientifically easier.

With their task complete, Rhiannon regarded their location, satisfied with their selection. It seemingly passed Deimos’s inspection as well, because he directed the group to move on to the next step without a hitch.
The tundra was cold and unforgiving, but Rhiannon was prepared for its frigidity. Even more than that, the girl was stubborn, and she was determined not to fail her region for a second time. As the others began to manipulate the titan with air or telekinesis, Rhi moved to brace the container, feeling only the slightest pang of jealousy that the rest of their group had more developed and varied magic than she.
While Rhiannon braced, clearly well versed in the frigid terrain and conditions, the rest maintained their semblances of magic. Prowess, strength, and mastery coursed through Deimos’ veins, and besides his narrowed eyes and blatant concentration, his stoicism didn’t alter or change. Elizabeth mustered well, utilizing her skills combined with everyone else’s efforts. Sah’s usage of his telekinesis, tried and true, persisted, and they were able to maneuver it around ten feet. Until, of course, some inevitable swing.
Perhaps a break in focus faltered on the part of the Wild Thunder, for just as they were placing it upon the platform, his side of the motions altered – and the titan’s shoulders slid askew. Luckily most of the body remained along the pyre, but they’d certainly have to center it better and ensure all of the beast was on. “We can center it using our magic again,” Deimos announced, unbothered by the notions. He was impressed they’d gotten this far in the first place. “Keep it steady,” he nodded to Rhiannon as well, because if it the container went out from under them during all these motions, this whole exchange might not last long.

The group has successfully moved the titan, but it’s beginning to slide off the platform! No post order!
Sah's brow furrowed as the Titan began to slide. Even before Deimos spoke, the Wild Thunder was already doubling down on his efforts. His magic weaved tighter around the shoulder and upper arm that were off-center and began to push them back to the median.
He kept a close eye on its progression, ready to readjust should the behemoth continue to move where it wasn't wanted. Sah had heard the details of the fight in the Tundra, and he had no intention of risking an infection within the Citadel. The mere thought sent a small shiver down his spine. Yet, Sah wouldn't let what-ifs distract from the task at hand.
She was extremely proud of the part she played in moving the titan, feeling like she was actually helping despite her lesser experience with the magic. However, as they settled it onto the platform, it didn't look very sturdy. Her magic was at the ready, already anticipating Deimos's orders.
Along with Sah, Elizabeth pushed her telekinesis against the slipping side of the behemoth, trying to right it on the stone platform. Her eyes scanned to make sure none of its bits or extremities risked falling to the ground. She didn't want them to miss anything in all their concentration.

Rhiannon
Despite her clearly important role, Rhiannon couldn’t help but feel a bit useless as she braced the container. The others were using their magic to move the titan while she did something that literally anyone could do. Her weakness chafed, but she bore her burden silently, watching and waiting to see if the others would manage.
The titan grew closer until it was over the pyre, but a last-minute slip left it somewhat askew. Rhiannon tilted her head, peering out from behind the container as Deimos gave his command. Then, nodding, she returned to her own job, focusing on keeping the container steady.
The combination of efforts heightened again; dragging the titan entirely over the container and its earthen mound. Nothing dangling, nothing amiss, nothing that would inevitably falter or flicker over. “Looks good,” he eventually relented, after surveying and walking around, inspecting the monolithic cretin soon to be set up in flames.
Giving a grin, he set the next task in motion – perhaps the most amusing one that would occur all day. With a semblance of impending satisfaction, he nodded, jawline sweeping and indicating towards a cluster of tools to use, if necessary. “Time to light the pyre.” He’d be using his own incantations, but if anyone wanted to snag at the flint nearby, that would work as well.

Light the pyre! If your character doesn’t have the magic or equipment to do so, there are tools available! No post order!
Rhiannon braced the container as the others worked their magic, carefully helping to avoid the pyre tipping over as they maneuvered the titan into place. When it was done, she stepped back, her hands held up carefully as though to be prepared to catch the container at a moment’s notice, should it begin to fall one way or another. But the titan appeared secure, and after a moment, Rhi relaxed, rejoining the others as Deimos gave the next command.
At least this part would be fun. With only basic lighting magic at her disposal, she opted for the tools nearby and made her way over to grab some flint. Striking it near the pyre, she hoped to help grow a fire that would help to burn the titan out of existence.
Once the titan had been settled into place, Elizabeth let out a loud sigh of exhaustion. The strain of using so much magic made her body ache slightly, and she pulled the extra muffin from her pocket, offering pieces to the others as she took a bite for herself. The bit of sugar helped renew some of her energy, and by the time Deimos was directing them to their next task, she was ready to go.
Elizabth gathered a small bundle of kindling but left the flint with the rest of the tools. She may have used a good chunk of magic, yet all this required was a small spark to ignite. Setting it against the side of the massive beast, she put some distance between her and her target before running her hands down her thick coat. The static electricity flared and she carefully cracked the door of her powers to let a tendril of lightning arc towards the patch of kindling.

Sah grinned, eager to finally dispose of the menace that had sparked such fear amongst his fellow Halovians. The region had dealt with threats bearing down on their doors many times. But the Wild Thunder would never grow used to the panicked cries and screams of the citizens whenever it happened. Many Halovians were used to danger and would simply fall into the repeated pattern of getting others to safety. But newcomers, children, or those with heavier memories still suffered in way that made the hybrid's magic bloodthirsty.
As such, his smile turned feral as a flame burst to life in his palm. Sah eagerly joined the others in lighting the Titan on fire as he tossed the ball of flame onto its chest.
Between the use of tools and incantations, the flames crackled, then flung to life. Content to chase at the titan’s enormous bulk, and the carnage of kindling, it became a healthy fortitude of infernal cleansing; riddling and rankling in awe-inspiring speed. Had they not had multitudes of other things to do, Deimos would’ve been content to stare and watch as the monster was ultimately devoured by the conflagration, a noteworthy reward and end for the disastrous plunge. A flare of appreciated sedition. Instead, he smirked, bearing witness for brief moments, before sighing again, and ensuring another soldier watched over. There was more to be conducted and completed.
But he wasn’t going to riddle and render them into exhaustion. “Take a break for now,” and his head gestured towards the pile of remaining food and beverages, figuring it would only take a few moments to reheat some portions. “When you are ready, we can inspect the gates and walls, and see how much needs to be done.” Now that the titan was no longer leaning upon it, they’d be able to adequately investigate the layers of damage.

While the pyre roars, take a break! Then you may from the following areas to inspect. Deimos will take the last.
- Gates
- Inside portions of the wall
- Outside portions of the wall
- Top of the wall
Sah let out a deep breath as the Titan was devoured by flames. Glancing up, he nodded at the notion of a break and walked over to get a second cup of hot chocolate alongside a croissant. One he had polished off his snack, the hybird regarded the Citadel wall for a moment.
The inside wall had stairs and ladders that someone could climb to inspect, and the top could be walked upon. As such, Sah decided to inspect the outside of the wall. With wings and avian eyes, he could thoroughly check the surface from top to bottom. Rolling his shoulders, dark feathers sprouted, and a raven took to the skies. I'll check the outside. The Wild Thunder began to canvas the wall, methodically flying along its length before lowering down to a new altitude to repeat the process until he reached the bottom.

Rhiannon watched as the titan went up in flames, a grim kind of satisfaction on her face. While she wasn’t particularly pleased with how the battle had gone for her, she was relieved that their foe had been vanquished. That was enough for her - for now, anyway.
After retrieving a flask of water and a muffin, she stood in silence as she took her break, contemplating their next move. One she was done, she elected to survey the inside of the walls. ”I’ll take the inside,” she said quickly, moving to where Deimos had ordered her on the day of the battle. Then she began to check over the stones and mortar, looking for weak spots or damaged spots where the titan had raged.
The fire roared before her eyes, a satisfying end to the titan. It's warmth and brightness were tempting to watch, but it would be a long time before the massive creature crumbled to ash, and they had other work to attend to. Like the damage it had done to their walls.
After a short break of more tea to keep her going, Elizabeth nodded to the others. "I'l take the gates." Then she walked to the only way in or out of the protective structure. With the mug still clutched in her fingers, she strolled along the gates, scanning for signs of damage that would need repair while she hummed softly to herself. She wasn't much of a handy person, but she felt that she had a good idea of what was broken from the splintered wood and bent metal.
