Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Chuckling softly, Elizabeth shrugged her shoulders. "Thank you. I'll keep that in mind." Other people had offered similar assistance, although she had yet to visit again after her last unfortunate encounter. She had no desire to relive the experience of being cursed.
Her tea was nearly gone, so she took a reluctant sip of the last dregs before letting out a soft laugh. "I don't know if I'd say that. I get plenty of written requests for sessions." Not that she'd expect it to compare to the Warden's. Glancing to him, she offered, "If you ever need help with paperwork though, I don't mind lending a hand. Whether it's copying meeting minutes or logging supplies, I'm pretty skilled with a pen." Her smile was warm with a genuine desire to ease some of the pressure of his role, should he ever want the help.

Nodding at the neither acceptance, nor outright dismissal of the offer, he figured she’d either make time for the notions, or not at all. A decision not to be made lightly, given the way the world worked lately – for opposing reasons. Curses weren’t something anyone was tempted towards, but success could yield greater things for her in the future.
“Probably not piles worth though,” he noted with another cheeky grin – though perhaps he shouldn’t be making letters a competition, simply because he didn’t really want to win that sort of game. “I appreciate that. Evie has a lot of it covered,” especially when he was gone, “But most is needed by my hand.” And sometimes for his or the Evergreen’s eyes alone. Information was a precious, vital semblance, and he only wanted it to spread so far. “There are some guild hunts in the coming weeks though, if you want to come along and journal. Usually I take notes, but only after – it is rather difficult to do in the middle of everything.”

She nodded her head, a warm laugh on her lips. "Thankfully not piles worth." There was no doubt that she'd never make it through that many requests for sessions. All her time awake would be spent traveling to the corners of Caido, hopping from one client to the next.
The polite decline of her offer wasn't surprising, and she gave a soft smile of understanding. At least she might be able to provide some assistance during the guild hunts. In fact, she found the idea exciting, a bright smile on her face. "I'd be happy to! Just let me know when and where." Especially if it meant she got to avoid the fighting in exchange for paper and pens, using her intellectual ability to help.

At the acceptance of the guild hunt potential, rather than facing down foes, he gave a smile in response. That would be one less thing across his shoulders – and though not often skilled at delegation, Deimos was content with the outcome. It didn’t need to be him doing everything all the time. And frankly, couldn’t be, at this point in the ongoing cycle of Caido debacles and chaos. “Of course. And thank you.” With plans in place, they’d be able to start heading back towards the Citadel, with an inevitable bounty of other preparations to segment, divide, and conquer. But, at the very least, with glimpses of success on the horizon.
