What do you get when two ruthless assassins raise their daughter travelling through the wildest reaches of Caido? Take one look at Theea and you'll get a pretty good idea. Cheerful and tenacious in equal measure, and curious beyond all else, she began her journey on a mission to find those her mother once called family. And find them she did, soon rubbing elbows with demigods, leaders and even ghosts from the past. Her determination is resolute, her thirst for knowledge unmatched. We can't wait to see where her next adventure takes her!

A message from a void raven is all it takes to get the gaggle of friends to join Pierce on this lovely warm day in the humid jungle. Taking a deep breath at the edge of the water, the weight of the seeds in the bag in his pocket weigh next to nothing as he idly waits, boots toeing the rogue root that sticks up from a nearby tree.
He’s picked his place in particular, waiting for Kaiden in the water and the lovely Noe to join him on land. A quick spread, in and out, before they can fully enjoy the fruits of their labor. As far as Pierce is concerned, there’s far too much greenery about and not nearly enough violet.
It will be fixed soon.
Once he spots movement of everyone’s approach, his pale smile is on display, meeting them halfway between the land and water. “You guys ready for a field trip?” He smirks, crossing his thick muscled arms over his chest.

The jungle was hot and the jungle was humid, and Noe had never been a huge fan of that particular combination - at least, not when there was nothing and nowhere around to cool off. Still, she'd accepted her invitation readily enough, and she showed up dressed for the occasion with a brightly-colored floral tank top, jean shorts, hiking boots, and her hair piled high atop her head and off her neck in a messy bun.
Pierce was already at the appointed spot, and Noe made her way to his side with a grin. "Field trips are fun," she said, winking at the man before turning her attention to the mershark. "Right, Kaiden?"
Kaiden is ecstatic. They finally get to help the Family! (And make up for accidently helping Torchline against them.) When the void raven had arrived, the mer had quickly packed their bag before swimming faster than they ever had. They were honestly a bit impressed with themselves over it.
Arriving, Kaiden pops their head out of the water, waving at Pierce and Noe gleefully. The mer is practically vibrating with excess energy. This is going to be incredible. The best day ever!
At the Family's brawler's question, Kaiden gives a sharp salute and a wide grin. "Yes, sir!" They enthusiastically nod in agreement with Noe's following comment before turning back to Pierce. Swimming closer, they lean on the bank and look up at the man. "How do we start?"

Nodding to Noe with a glimmer of appreciation in the brawler’s blue gaze, it swings to Kaiden as they arrive. Flashing a bright smile to them in return, his arms unfold from his chest as he reaches into the pocket with the bag full of seeds to spread their beautiful violet flare. “I’m glad you asked.” Pierce says, his grin brightening as he pulls open the drawstring on the bag, stepping to Noe first and handing her a handful of seeds.
Then turning to Kaiden, he steps over to the edge of the bank and hands them an equal amount of seeds as well. “We’re gonna plant ‘em all over the Oerwoud.” He explains, before snagging a handful for himself. “Kaiden, your job’s to spread ‘em in the rivers and the water. Noe, we’re gonna go through and spread them out up here. Full coverage.” Confident that the task has been shared, the brawler twists away from them to start picking his path, finding a spot near the bank of the water to toe his boot in and carve up some of the earth to plop a seed or two in, before covering it up, then when he glances back to the Friends, it’s with a silent nod of let’s get started that Pierce begins to pluck his path with Noe to plant the seeds.

It never occurred to Noe to ask why they were meeting in the hot, humid jungle, just as it now did not occur to her to ask why they were spreading seeds. Pierce, she thought, must have a plan, because he was Family. And it must be a good one, because why else would the Family be interested in a place like the Oerwoud to begin with?
Noe accepted her handful of seeds with a coquettish grin, waiting while Kaiden received theirs and Pierce picked a path before beginning to spread the seeds around with a flourish. She didn’t wander too far from the others, seeing as how she had no intentions of getting lost out here, but she did go far enough that their efforts were spread over the area. ”So, Pierce,” she called conversationally as they worked, never one to stay in silence for long. ”Why don’t we have more field trips like this?” She climbed over a large root, glancing towards the man. ”This is fun!”
Kaiden studies the seeds they're given with reverence, rolling them around with their fingers they can't help but whisper, "They're so beautiful." The mer is nearly reluctant to tear their eyes off of the precious seeds but does so to better understand what's expected of them. Watching Pierce, they nod along, "I'll do my best!"
It saddens the mer that they can't join Pierce and Noe on land. But Kaiden understands how important their role is. Flora that traitorous bitch had helped them to realize their worth in helping the Family. Underwater was their domain and they would happily hand it over to its proper rulers.
Following the current, Kaiden begins to lay the seeds. They stop every few paces to dig a small hole in the sandy bottom. Then they delicately place a deed before covering it back up with an encouraging pat of their hand.

Stepping through the jungle as the humidity and heat clings to Pierce’s skin, his confidence in spreading the seeds both via water from Kaiden and the path he and Noe take through the jungle itself, allows for him to flash the Accepted a bright smile as he rolls his broad shoulders out, reaching to snag more seeds from the bag to spread. Purple begins to flourish beneath Noe’s and his seeds, while Kaiden will find that their own seeds would begin to darken the water, seaweed and underwater grasses growing vibrant in the inlets.
“I’ll be sure to make the suggestion.” He nods to her, planting a few more as they start to cover the base of the trees, the plants beginning to take on a toothier appearance. “Glad you’re having fun, though.” He tacks on as he steps over and fills her hands with a few more seeds. Already the Oerwoud is growing more and more Family friendly by the minute.

The jungle was hot and humid. Beads of sweat clung to Noe’s brow as she picked her way through the foliage, depositing seeds as she went. Violet began to spring up, and Noe noted how quickly their work seemed to bear fruit. ”Hey, how come these seeds sprout so fast?” she inquired as they worked, curiosity sparking in her gaze. ”They’re so pretty, but like, I’ve never seen things grow like this before.”
She accepted more seeds from Pierce, then returned to her work. It was actually quite nice out here, aside from the heat and the dampness, and it was growing better and better by the minute. Before long, the entire Oerwoud would be Family-friendly, which made it all the better in Noe’s book.
Kaiden giggles as every seed grows, spreading joyful and loving purple with ever sprout. They can't help but run their hands through the newly improved kelp or waving at the fish as their scales shift into something more. It's breathtaking, beautiful. Moving further along the water, the mer does a happy twirl as they throw more seeds. Section by section, the Family's influence grows.
After a moment, the mershark realizes that they've run out of precious cargo. Kaiden returns to the surface and pops their head out of the water. Spotting Noe and Peirce, they hold their cupped hands out, "More, please!" There's still that section over the bend in need of a makeover.

The grin that greets Noe with the question is playful as it is a little mischievous, scanning her as he tosses more seeds out into the undergrowth. “They’re special, that’s how.” He touts, keeping any additional little secrets from slipping past his lips. He doesn’t really know the intricacies, but what he does know is that these seeds have a tendency of making the lush greenery of Caido bend to their will - not unlike becoming a Friend of the Family does.
So it’s with a purple hue blooming that Pierce stops by the water when Kaiden pops their head up - bending over to pour more seeds into their hands, before sending them off again with a nod and a smile. As the mershark floats through the rivers and continues to spread the seeds, everything around them becomes even more purple and lovely.
The same goes for topside, seeds spread further and further until they’ve all run out, only to have Pierce stand back by the water’s edge, completely pleased with the work they’ve done. Even without anymore seeds, the ones they had spread begin to reach out, spreading further and further until the Oerwoud feels a little more like home.
“Great job, guys. Let’s get a quick snack and head on home.” And Pierce intends to do just that - providing some food before the trek back to Stormbreak.
