Elizabeth

The response didn't surprise her, and Elizabeth nodded her head at the various methods for counteracting the Void. Knowing that Alys had been part of the battle in the Tundra months ago, she knew the woman had some means of combat, although she didn't know her specific capabilities. "I get the feeling you're better than you think," she paused to give Alys a gentle smile before adding, "but if you're worried about it, you could always practice."

Taking another sip of her tea, her head tilted, an offer along with calm support from a friend. "I'm not fantastic at fighting myself, but I'm always happy to accompany you - to watch your back." Her own magic had proved useful against creatures, but that didn't mean she had the mind or stomach for battles; so she didn't hesitate to join in the other option, her smile brightening with a hint of pride. "And I've had surprising luck with finding a flower, so I'd be happy to help you look any time."

Sascha shifted beneath the table, and Alys reached down to stroke her head. ”I do try to practice,” she said ruefully. ”But I rely a lot on my magic, and that’s not always a sound strategy.” She needed more practice with punches, weapons, and the like - but that was something that only she could accomplish. Elizabeth couldn’t do it for her.

As for the offer of assistance, Alys smiled at her friend. ”Thank you. I may take you up on that.” Particularly the offer of hunting for a flower. She’d spent enough time in the Greatwood by now to know that they weren’t easy to come by, and it would take time to find another. Having company, then, would always be appreciated.

Shaking off the lingering discomfort from her vision, the seer turned her attention to Elizabeth. ”Anyway, enough about me. How are you?”

Elizabeth

Nodding her head, Elizabeth gave Alys another warm smile. "I get that. I've worked with Deimos and Flora, but I'm sure there are plenty of others in the Citadel who would be willing to help." Her partner, Talyson, would probably be included in that, although she didn't know much about his fighting capabilities.

More than happy to assist wherever the seer needed, she lowered her mug after another sip, revealing a small grin. "Of course. Just let me know." It was less a professional offer that she extended to everyone, and more of a friend wanting to help by any means necessary.

Letting the woman shift the attention away from the darker topic of her vision, she smiled. "I've been good. Work has kept me busy, but..." Her voiced faded into the din of the cafe as Elizabeth and Alys chatted through the rest of their morning, relaxing into the comfort of friendship and good conversation.
