Thalassa
In the back of my mind, I'm still overseas
She hadn't planned to delay her visit to the shrine for so long, but between the masquerade and getting cured and making amends, Thal had been a little busy. Still, she had to fight the bit of anxiety at seeing Dygra again after last time. The goddess hadn't seemed bothered by her infection, but it bothered her that she'd let it affect her so, that she'd been so manipulated that she'd gone to Dygra to help the Family. It was embarrassing and frustrating and made her want to scream away the memories, but she wouldn't hide. No. She was done hiding and she was done letting them control her.
When Thal steps into the Temple, it's with no signs of hesitation, a certainty cracking in the heel of her boots against the obsidian floor. It continues like the drums of war, striking each impending thought that will destroy her enemies. Not a warning - the acceptance of inevitability. Because nothing will stand in her way anymore.
Her blood splatters across the floor as she slashes her palm, but she doesn't flinch, ignoring the sensations of 'pain' in a purse of her lips and set of her jaw. Placing her hand against the stone, there's only a single breath of preparation before she invokes the name of her goddess, low and reverent, "Lady Dygra."
Fingers wrap cruelly against her dagger like she might slash away the hollowness that had taken hold again while she says quietly, "I found the reason for my uncertainty - the infection that had taken hold. I - " She pauses, anger and shame rising as she grapples with her own weakness again, swallowing her pride as she admits, "I failed you before." But then she moves past the moment, giving it a split second to exist before she hardens her emotions, shoving aside the wounds in favor of the determination and utter fury that courses through her. "It won't happen again." The promise - threat - in her voice echoes the chambers like stone being etched.
"I don't need the power for the same reasons anymore, but I still want to be stronger," her eyes narrow, heat blazing through her veins as she finishes, "so no one can do that to me again."
Thalassa is turning in her quest from this thread: the old me is still me
1. Complete a thread starting a fight with someone she likes.
friendly fire - started a fight with Kia
2. Complete a thread doing something unexpectedly nice for someone she dislikes.
[SE] the edges drop off - helped Deimos (*gasp*)
3. Complete a thread sailing The Marauder through a lightning storm. (Even better if the ship is struck by lightning in the process!)
[SE] storm it all to hell - sailed with Tal, got hit by lightning
4. Complete a training thread at night, focusing on remaining unseen.
[Training] fine line between - hid physically and emotionally from Vesper XD
