Evie
The prospect of a date prompts a hum of pleasure in her throat not dissimilar from Micah’s purrs. “Absolutely. If you want to tell certain people in person, it would be a good mixed excursion.” Not that they need to turn pleasure into business, but it would be an easy additional step to their travels. As for what she would like to do, Evie cocks her head and thinks for a moment. “Honestly I’m not sure off the top of my head. How about I think one up and surprise you?” It would be a good opportunity to be the initiator, to put Deimos first without outright spoiling him (the horror).

“You’re dodging the statement,” she lobs back, brow quirked but smile lingering at the corners of her mouth. “I’m quite capable of some work even at this stage. You never deny my nesting, but I can pick up more than pillows!” With Erebos he’d greatly respected her need to nest, buying decorations and outfits and then rearranging them ten times over. Asking him to move the rocking chair at least three times and then buying a second one for the living room in a last second fit of panic that their normal chairs wouldn’t be enough. She thinks (hopes) she won’t be so manic this time now that she’s already had one child, but where she’d been overly careful and allowed Deimos to do all the lifting and building, she is more confident now in her limitations at this stage.
I see you when you chase the dreams inside your head
and when you laugh and love until the bitter end

Deimos
An emboldened grin marked its way back along his features at her agreement; mind beginning to concoct further preambles and potentials before her second statement. To say that he was surprised might’ve been an understatement, eyes rounding slightly before they returned to their residual specious countenance. Either Deimos didn’t prefer being the one spoiled, surprised, or shocked, for he wasn’t one for over-indulgence (for his loved ones, sure, for himself, no), or it was a combination of all of the above. An odd inner turmoil surfaced, and he wrinkled his nose, amused, but suddenly, instantly wary, uncertain if he wanted to be on the fringes of Evie’s schemes. “Sure,” he accepted with the notable vigilance and prudence, as if he had to plot out the many possibilities the Evergreen could create.

When she wouldn’t allow him to do the dodging or hedging thereafter either, he sighed, making a long grand breath unfurl past the tendrils and tassels of fiery hair. “Fine. Depends on what you are planning,” he huffed on pretenses; fairly certain she wouldn’t push herself to any disastrous heights (but then again, he could recall many a memory before they were even married – and that made him narrow his eyes). From there, were schemes and nuances, and the excitement of ever-pending things once again, feeling like another victory from all the wreckage of yesteryears.
